About the Role
As a Data Analyst at The Pioneer, you will bridge the gap between data and strategic decisions. You will make complex relationships understandable, derive clear insights, and translate them into storylines and concrete recommendations. This will allow you to actively shape our product, editorial, and marketing strategies. Additionally, we are currently developing a Pioneer AI Analyst, an AI-powered solution that provides teams with easy access to their data through tools like Claude or ChatGPT. This role allows you to contribute analytical excellence and help evolve how we work data-driven at The Pioneer.
Responsibilities
- Analyze user behavior, content performance, web and app data, brand perception, and communication channels to identify trends and optimization potential.
- Derive data-based recommendations for strategy and product development.
- Collaborate closely with management, growth, marketing, product, and editorial teams to make data and insights understandable and usable.
- Contribute to data modeling and architecture, continuously developing our data model.
- Build self-service dashboards in our BI tool to support teams in making independent, data-driven decisions.
- Share responsibility for our Google Analytics setup, ensuring clean and reliable tracking.
Requirements
- Completed university degree with an analytical focus (e.g., Business Informatics, Data Science, Statistics, or Business Administration with a Data focus).
- Professional experience in Data or Business Analytics, ideally with web and app data from marketing, content, or product environments.
- Experience with common BI tools such as QuickSight, Power BI, or Tableau.
- First experiences with Google Analytics, tracking implementations, and tag management.
- Proficient SQL skills, ability to write custom queries, and understand data models.
- Experience with dbt is a plus.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and bring different perspectives together.
- Very good German language skills, both written and spoken.
