About the Role

As Conference & Events Manager, you will oversee all client meetings and events, ensuring smooth operations and exceeding client expectations. You will act as a brand ambassador and trusted partner, leading internal teams to deliver a seamless and high-quality experience for planners, hosts, and attendees. This is a key position within the Sales & Marketing team at ANA InterContinental Tokyo, requiring a deep understanding of hotel operations and the ability to coordinate effectively across multiple departments. You will be a reliable point of contact for clients, providing strategic and practical leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Event Planning and Follow-up
  • Facilitate weekly banquet meeting and conference run-down meetings
  • Ensure all client requirements are confirmed and communicated accurately to hotel operations
  • Act as the primary point of contact for detailed meeting/event planning, coordinating with various hotel departments and external suppliers
  • Ensure effective coordination and service delivery with AV suppliers
  • Maintain regular client contact during events and ensure all hotel operational details are executed correctly
  • Ensure correct and accurate billing and confirm with the client upon event conclusion
  • Follow up with clients for event feedback and identify further business opportunities
  • Communicate and act upon client feedback internally, managing issue resolution within 48 hours
  • Consult with meeting planners during pre-event planning to optimize event elements for efficiency

Requirements

  • High communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in business terminology and tools
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the event industry or related fields
  • Direct supervisory experience with sales/catering teams, or equivalent academic and practical experience
  • Japanese language proficiency (writing and speaking) is essential
