About the Role
Join the Hedin Automotive Accounts team as an Accounts Assistant and play a key role in supporting the financial operations of our business. Working alongside an experienced Accounts team, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting and reconciliation tasks, helping to ensure accurate financial reporting and efficient processes across the business. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to expand your knowledge and experience in an accounting environment while developing a career with one of the world's most admired brands in the automotive industry.
Responsibilities
- Processing daily bank payments and receipts while maintaining accurate sales and purchase ledgers
- Reconciling bank and vehicle funding accounts
- Managing vehicle purchase ledger accounts
- Preparing month-end reconciliations and supporting nominal ledger processes
- Producing weekly and monthly financial reports, analysis, and cashflow information
- Assisting with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and journal processing
- Using advanced Excel functions, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables, to analyse financial data
- Identifying and resolving reporting errors while supporting continuous process improvements
- Providing general support to the finance team and undertaking ad hoc duties as required
Requirements
- Previous experience in a finance or accounts role
- Ideally studying towards an Accountancy qualification or part/full AAT qualified (or equivalent accounting qualification)
- Motor trade experience would be advantageous
- Working knowledge of Kerridge/Drive would be advantageous
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team
