About the Role

This is a hands-on, field-oriented generalist role focused on event/AV production, with the ability to provide remote hands for technical troubleshooting and manage steady-state workplace operations for the London office. The role requires genuine curiosity about technology, the ability to quickly learn new tools and workflows, and comfort working independently and traveling autonomously across EMEA offices.

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on AV setup, teardown, and live support for events across EMEA offices, in person or remotely.
  • Coordinate production vendors for larger events region-wide.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot AV equipment and conferencing systems across EMEA offices.
  • Run or support livestreaming/broadcast setup for multi-office all-hands.
  • Build local know-how to reduce reliance on external support for recurring AV/event needs.
  • Act as EMEA's 'remote hands' for on-site technical troubleshooting in various offices.
  • Provide on-site support for meeting rooms, network closets, and building-technology touchpoints across EMEA offices.
  • Coordinate with the PREWF infrastructure team on building systems.
  • Escalate issues beyond hands-on physical troubleshooting.
  • Act as a point of contact for day-to-day workplace matters in the London office.
  • Ensure meeting rooms, common areas, and shared spaces are maintained to a high standard.
  • Use internal tools to track workplace and facilities requests.
  • Support basic building maintenance coordination with landlords and vendors.
  • Support compliance with local health and safety requirements and help organize training and drills.
  • Support vendor coordination and project tracking for regional technical and workplace initiatives.
  • Assist with budget tracking for AV, workplace, and technical equipment expenses across EMEA.
  • Identify opportunities to improve employee experience through better tools and light automation.
  • Assist with small office moves, adds, and changes involving technical systems.
  • Report directly to Stijn.
  • Work in close collaboration with the PREWFI EMEA team.
  • Partner closely with Infrastructure and Security on systems, network, and infrastructure projects.
  • Coordinate with HR, Finance, IT, Infrastructure, Security, and external contractors for smooth office operations.
  • Regular travel to Paris, Dublin, and other EMEA offices for AV, infrastructure, and technical work.

Requirements

  • About 5 years of relevant experience (event production, AV, technical support, or similar hands-on technical field work).
  • Ability to work independently without close oversight.
  • Ability to travel autonomously.
  • Ability to make sound judgment calls on time and priorities.
  • A 'figure-it-out' mindset; energized by diving into new platforms and taking ownership.
  • Collaborative approach to IT and network fundamentals.
  • Curiosity about data and automation.
  • Hands-on and field-oriented; comfortable physically troubleshooting AV, network closets, and building-technology touchpoints.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Fluency in English is required.
  • French or German language skills would be an asset.
  • Genuinely curious about technology and quick to pick up new tools and systems.
  • Ability to stay calm and follow procedures under pressure.
