About the Role

Commercial Rating and Underwriting (CRU) assesses and manages the risk of institutional exposures across all business units globally. The team plays a critical role in determining credit ratings and providing underwriting for wholesale card and lending products.

Responsibilities

  • Rating and underwriting credit exposures in assigned region, industry, and business line.
  • Conducting fundamental credit assessments by reviewing business, financial, industry, and country risk.
  • Utilizing internal and external rating model outputs.
  • Demonstrating understanding of credit extension, relationship profitability, risk mitigation, and program structures.
  • Determining appropriate credit capacity and structuring facilities.
  • Applying risk mitigation techniques.
  • Preparing accurate company-specific and industry-wide credit risk memorandums.

Requirements

  • Fluency in English is mandatory.
  • Fluency in German is strongly preferred.
  • Understanding of financial analysis, including reviewing corporate financial statements to determine key risk drivers, probability of default, and obligor's credit capacity.
  • Ability to prepare accurate company-specific and industry-wide credit risk memorandums.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Background verification check is required for employment.
