About the Role
Join our Tech Trainee program to gain diverse insights into our company and actively shape our future. This 18-month program offers rotations through various business units including idealo, bonial, Head Office, BILD, and PREMIUM-GRUPPE (WELT, POLITICO Deutschland, and BUSINESS INSIDER Deutschland). You will start in a fixed Tech Homebase and can potentially include international rotations.
Responsibilities
- Build and deepen AI expertise, from prompting and AI agents to practical automation and machine learning use cases.
- Identify AI and automation potential within existing processes and actively drive AI transformation.
- Develop and prototype solutions using Vibe Coding and modern AI-powered dev tools.
- Create technical analyses, business cases, and KPI reviews to support tech investment decisions.
- Support quality assurance, testing, and rollout of new product features across business units.
Requirements
- Completed degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Business Informatics, or a comparable technical field.
- Good understanding of app and product development, with an interest in user experience and digital business models.
- Initial practical programming experience and a solid technical foundation (e.g., web/app architectures, APIs, databases).
- Proficient use of AI-powered dev tools like Cursor or Claude Code, ideally also with agents in Claude, Codex, or similar.
- Proactive, independent, and solution-oriented work style with a passion for quickly learning new technologies.
