About the Role
The Singapore Foods Commercial Manager supports the Commercial Lead in driving distributor partnership, executing annual operating plans, and achieving market share growth. This role oversees Discount & Allowance budgets, utilizes insights for business reviews and joint business planning with retailers, and ensures effective execution of sales initiatives. It also leads cross-functional coordination for innovation launches, strengthens partner capabilities, manages legal renewals, drives S&OP forecasting, and identifies new business opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Commercial Lead to foster partnerships and relationships with distributors, aligning and executing AOP plans to meet annual business and market share targets.
- Align and drive the AOP planning process and deliverables with the Commercial Lead, Singapore Foods.
- Manage A&M and D&A budgets for optimal spending and monitor all expenditures.
- Analyze data and leverage insights with the Commercial Lead, cross-functional teams, and distributors to drive Business Review and Joint Business Planning (JBP) with key strategic retailers.
- Enhance partner capabilities through best practice sharing and leveraging system strengths and resources.
- Synergize marketing and sales promotional activities with the Commercial Lead and Marketing for the market across all channels, ensuring best-in-class execution with distributors and internal teams.
- Ensure a quality pipeline of new innovations and launches, executed timely with distributors and internal support functions, to deliver a consumer-centric portfolio and business profitability.
- Drive legal renewal processes and timely completion of DA/Supply Agreements with the Commercial Lead and cross-functional teams.
- Drive the S&OP process to build forecasts and business plans.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities with the Commercial Lead and business partners.
- Maintain robust partner relationships through strong interpersonal/communication skills, effective stakeholder management, and a continuous effort to add value and build trust.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree holder at a minimum in any relevant field.
- At least 7 years of experience in Modern Trade key account management.
- Multinational FMCG exposure preferred.
- Solid track record in channel business management and development.
- Strong data analytical skills and insights orientation.
- Experience in working with regional cross-functional teams and multi-markets of different cultures.
- Ability to engage and influence others – internal and external stakeholders.
- Sound attention for details without losing focus on the big picture.
