About the Role

Design, migrate, and deliver Identity projects for customers in Japan, focusing on modernizing from on-premises Active Directory to Microsoft Entra, including VBD, migration support, troubleshooting, and partner-led delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support on-premises identity infrastructure, including Active Directory (AD), ADFS, and Web Application Proxy (WAP).
  • Administer and troubleshoot Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft Entra Connect, including identity synchronization and hybrid identity environments.
  • Troubleshoot identity and authentication issues across on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Apply knowledge of fundamental networking concepts such as HTTP, TLS, TCP/IP, and DNS to diagnose connectivity and authentication-related issues.
  • Support identity and access management using protocols such as Kerberos, NTLM, and LDAP.
  • Work with cloud identity protocols including SAML, OAuth, OIDC, FIDO, and SCIM where required.
  • Support PKI and certificate-based authentication, including AD CS and X.509 certificates, where applicable.
  • Provide support for Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Work with Microsoft Intune for device and identity-related management and troubleshooting.
  • Support Microsoft Defender security solutions, including Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (MDE), Defender for Identity (MDI), and Defender for Cloud Apps (MDCA).
  • Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to resolve complex identity, authentication, and access-related incidents.
  • Maintain documentation, troubleshooting procedures, and operational processes related to identity and security services.
  • Communicate effectively in Japanese (reading, writing, speaking, and listening) with local teams and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Knowledge and experience of On-premises Identity (AD / ADFS / WAP)
  • Knowledge and experience of Cloud Identity (Entra ID / Microsoft Entera Connect)
  • Basic knowledge of computer network (HTTP, TLS, TCP/IP, DNS)
  • Knowledge of PKI (AD CS / X.509)
  • Knowledge of MIM / FIM
  • Basic Knowledge of On-premises ID Protocol (Kerberos / NTLM / LDAP)
  • Basic Knowledge of Cloud ID Protocol (SAML / OAuth / OIDC / FIDO / SCIM)
  • Knowledge of O365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams)
  • Knowledge of Intune
  • Knowledge of Defender (MDE / MDI / MDCA)
