About the Role
Canon EMEA is seeking a Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and cloud infrastructure on GCP and Azure. This role is crucial for ensuring data integration and accessibility, empowering marketing, eCommerce, and CRM teams to make data-driven decisions and drive impactful initiatives across the EMEA region.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain data pipelines, models, and visualizations integrating marketing and sales data with other sources in Google BigQuery and Power BI.
- Perform exploratory analysis using Python/R and SQL to identify trends and opportunities in digital marketing and sales data, presenting insights and recommendations.
- Create, present, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports based on stakeholder requirements.
- Identify and automate repetitive data tasks and workflows using Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure platforms.
- Develop and optimize data models for scalable and efficient data storage, processing, and retrieval within Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure.
- Implement data validation and cleansing processes to ensure data accuracy and collaborate with IT on upstream changes.
Requirements
- Excellent SQL skills.
- Understanding of data warehousing and data modeling concepts.
- Knowledge of cloud-based data warehousing, specifically Google BigQuery.
- Experience developing in a BI tool such as Power BI.
- Proficiency in Python or R, particularly for automation and integrations.
