About the Role
As a Lead Consultant SAP Public Sector Management (m/f/d), you will play a significant role in advising management and leadership levels of public sector clients. You will hold a key position for the successful implementation of projects within SAP (S/4HANA) and serve as the point of contact for project leadership, the project team, and client management on complex or highly sensitive issues related to the PSM industry solution, including budget management or grant management.
Responsibilities
- Advise clients on transforming their current ERP landscape with a focus on SAP Public Sector Management (PSM), primarily in conjunction with SAP S/4HANA.
- Take responsibility for work packages in various project phases of SAP (S/4HANA) implementation projects or application management, covering conception, implementation (customizing), migration, functional and integration testing, training, and 2nd-level support.
- Lead functional teams within the scope of described work packages in different project phases.
- Play a central role in generating and securing new business.
- Participate in bid teams for proposal creation and quality assurance.
- Take over (partial) project management.
- Make a significant contribution to the development of junior consultants in the context of SAP Public Sector Management (PSM).
Requirements
- Completed studies in economics, (business) informatics, or mathematics; alternatively, a comparable qualification.
- At least seven years of relevant professional experience in the conception and implementation of SAP solutions in public sector accounting (FI/PSM/PSCD).
- Experience in client responsibility and managing project teams.
- Acquired expert knowledge from multiple client projects.
- Excellent consulting and project management skills.
- Outstanding methodological knowledge in classic and agile project environments.
- Very good integrative system understanding and excellent knowledge in the implementation (customizing) of customer-relevant processes in SAP Public Sector Management (PSM), including budget management or grant management.
- Proven multi-year responsible and shaping involvement in (S/4HANA) implementation projects or application management in the public sector.
- Experience in managing or leading projects (sub-projects).
- Knowledge of accounting and public administration processes.
- Knowledge of SAP PSM and adjacent modules (FI/CO).
- Experience with SAP Fiori (UI5).
- Strong market and competitive knowledge.
- Understanding of the latest SAP technologies (SAP HANA, cloud solutions, etc.).
- Talent for recognizing and pursuing cross-selling opportunities.
- Enjoyment in advising external clients.
- Very good German (CEF Level C1) and English (CEF Level B2) language skills.
