About the Role
Assembly Technicians are responsible for building and preparing hardware kits that support the deployment of advanced autonomous vehicle technology systems. You will work from detailed instructions, assembly procedures, and schematics to accurately assemble, inspect, and prepare components for integration and testing. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, enjoys working hands-on with mechanical and electrical systems, and takes pride in producing high-quality work.
Responsibilities
- Assemble sensor modules, hardware kits, cable harnesses, and related components according to documented procedures.
- Follow assembly instructions, diagrams, and schematics to ensure accurate builds.
- Perform visual inspections and quality checks throughout the assembly process.
- Use hand tools and assembly equipment safely and effectively.
- Identify and report damaged, missing, or non-conforming components.
- Label, organize, and prepare completed kits for handoff to validation and bring-up teams.
- Maintain accurate production and inventory records as required.
- Keep workstations, tools, and shop areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
- Support inventory organization and material handling activities.
- Follow all established quality, safety, and production procedures.
Requirements
- Candidates with autonomous vehicle operations or software testing experience are also encouraged to apply if they have previous technician experience or significant hands-on mechanical experience outside of work, such as building project cars or assembling custom computers.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
