About the Role
NKI is seeking a full-time Senior Software Engineer to support its rapid growth, focusing on developing next-generation tools and systems. This role involves creating web-based applications that integrate with custom embedded systems, leveraging generative AI and AI-assisted coding tools.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement AI-assisted software applications
- Write requirements, specifications, and test documents
- Execute tests and document completed testing
- Interface with customers to develop requirements and perform design reviews
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- 6+ years of professional experience in Software Engineering
- Experience with high-level languages: Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go
- Experience with systems languages: C/C++, Rust, C#
- Expertise in Linux Systems and Virtual Machines
- Expertise in Web-based UI development
- Network Software Engineering (TLS / HTTPS)
- U.S. citizenship required
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
