About the Role
Enhance your capabilities and the reputation of WSP’s Building Structures team by collaborating with talented professionals on iconic projects to drive future-ready outcomes that benefit clients and communities.
Responsibilities
- Project lead work across the design, delivery and tender phases for multi-year/packaged work for turnkey projects
- Ensure timely and quality of delivery for project and structural engineering work in support of relevant technical, commercial and regulatory standards – and in alignment with schedules and budgets
- Manage project scope, programme, budgets, and quality outcomes
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships and identify new opportunities
- Handle ongoing communication and highly effective professional relationships with local clients
- Manage effective stakeholder relationships, both internally and externally
- Provide sound technical/delivery guidance for the team
- Mentor, train and develop the careers of junior engineers
- Partner with internal stakeholders and a collaborative, national team in a multidisciplinary engineering setting
Requirements
- Commercial experience in Australia or New Zealand on medium/large building structure engineering projects is essential
- Familiar with ETABS, RAM Concept and Microstran
- Solid consultancy experience in a client facing role with ability to lead projects and manage clients
- Strong track record of effective cross-discipline project delivery and manage project teams
- Experience coaching & mentoring junior engineers across technical and project delivery aspects
- Connected within the Sydney transport & metro market, with established industry relationships highly regarded
- Ability to obtain Australian Defence Force security clearance (Aus Citizenship required) would be preferred but not essential
