About the Role
BYD Energy Storage is seeking a Distribution Specialist to drive channel strategy and management within the energy storage sector. This role involves in-depth market analysis, cross-industry research, and end-to-end distributor and installer network development to support BYD's mission of building a zero-emission future.
Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth market and competitor analysis, including channel models, strategies, policies, and pricing.
- Produce regular analysis reports to support strategic decision-making.
- Research and analyze channel models from analogous industries to identify best practices and optimization opportunities.
- Identify innovation points and enhancement strategies for the existing channel system.
- Enforce distributor onboarding criteria through on-site evaluations.
- Conduct regular distributor visits to understand their business models, sales strategies, and customer management.
- Respond to and resolve distributor issues related to sales and marketing.
- Perform regular audits of distributor inventory levels and turnover rates.
- Ensure clear communication of all channel policies.
- Execute the distributor termination process according to established criteria.
- Conduct weekly/monthly installer visits to develop installer profiles and databases.
- Gather field feedback to support the formulation of installer support policies.
- Collaborate with the domestic team, fulfill research requests, and report on progress, insights, and recommendations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher.
- Fluent in English.
- Proficient in German.
- Mandarin Chinese proficiency is a strong advantage.
- 5+ years of overseas channel management experience in the energy storage, solar PV, or related industries.
- Experience in the German/Dutch market is preferred.
