About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on DevOps Engineer to own our cloud infrastructure, ensuring its reliability, security, and scalability. This is a full-time remote role within the United States, offering the opportunity to make a significant impact at a mission-driven company.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain AWS resources (e.g., EC2, ECS, RDS, Lambda, S3, CloudFront, IAM).
- Build and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform.
- Implement and maintain robust monitoring, alerting, and logging systems.
- Continuously assess and harden infrastructure security.
- Support compliance initiatives (HIPAA, SOC 2, HITRUST).
- Participate in troubleshooting of production issues.
- Monitor system performance, investigate bottlenecks, and recommend improvements.
- Be responsible for production issues during business hours.
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of hands-on DevOps or Cloud Engineering experience.
- Strong experience with AWS core services and best practices.
- Proficiency in Terraform.
- Experience with Docker and orchestration (ECS, Fargate).
- Solid knowledge of networking, Unix systems, and cloud security principles.
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks (HIPAA, SOC 2, HITRUST).
- Success working within a small team having ownership of many areas.
- A results-oriented mindset with a drive to exceed targets.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
- Must be based in U.S and have work authorization.
