About the Role

Nuix is establishing an internal AI capability to bridge the gap between AI potential and financial impact. The AI Enablement Builder will embed within business functions to design, build, and deploy production-ready AI solutions, focusing on hands-on engineering to deliver working software.

Responsibilities

Embed within business functions for 3-6 month rotations to identify and implement AI opportunities.
Conduct discovery, map workflows, and scope use cases aligned with AI enablement targets.
Design, build, and deploy end-to-end AI workflows, automations, and agentic systems in the live internal environment.
Develop solutions such as LLM-powered document processing, RAG pipelines, agentic workflows, reusable Nuix Neo 'skill' files, and API integrations.
Own the full delivery lifecycle, including scoping, deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
Write evaluation harnesses, instrument observability, debug production issues, and iterate based on measured outcomes.
Maintain POC discipline, rapidly validating feasibility with real data before full commitment.
Recommend build, pause, or abandon decisions based on evidence.
Synthesize patterns from rotations to contribute to Nuix's internal AI knowledge base and program roadmap.
Document and share reusable components, prompt templates, integration patterns, and lessons learned.
Act as a technical peer to function leads and the AI Champion network.
Translate business requirements into engineering specifications and communicate progress clearly.
Support global AI Innovation Days and present outcomes to functional ELT stakeholders.
Contribute to the mid-rotation review process, reporting results against agreed AI enablement ROI and workflow metrics.

Requirements

Demonstrated experience building and shipping production AI systems in an enterprise environment using Python.
Proven track record of use cases that progressed from scoping to production, including RAG pipelines, agentic workflows, or LLM integrations with real business data.
Applied AI fluency across LLMs, prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, agent orchestration, MCP-based tool integration, evaluation frameworks, and deployment across various model types.
Production fluency in AI, understanding when to use specific approaches, how to evaluate outputs, and manage token cost and latency.
Strong business process acumen to diagnose workflow problems, structure ambiguous briefs, and translate them into technical specifications.
Ability to operate at the intersection of engineering and light-touch consulting.
A minimum of five years of software engineering or applied AI experience.
At least two years in a role requiring direct collaboration with non-technical business stakeholders.
Relevant backgrounds include forward-deployed engineering, solutions architecture, internal tools engineering, or applied AI roles in enterprise software, data intelligence, legal tech, or adjacent domains.
Exposure to eDiscovery, investigative analytics, legal technology, or regulated-data environments is desired.
Familiarity with data sensitivity, chain-of-custody, and compliance constraints typical of Nuix's core market is beneficial.
Experience in a structured embedded or rotation-based deployment model is desired.
Ability to adapt to stakeholder dynamics, context-switching demands, and knowledge-transfer obligations of time-bound assignments.
