About the Role

The Category Development Manager (CDM) will develop and deliver category and shopper strategies for key customers, utilizing data and insights to drive category growth and support the Off Premise Commercial Strategy. This role involves creating innovative customer solutions, providing actionable shopper insights, and building strong relationships with external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Develop relationships with key customers, driving category strategy, and delivering specialized category projects.
  • Ensure strong category ranging and assortment recommendations aligned to range review cycles to achieve Category and Brand Fair Share.
  • Commercialize category initiatives and partner with the National Sales team to drive opportunities, maximize sales effectiveness, and increase ROI.
  • Lead annual Category Planning Days and end-of-year Category Reviews.
  • Create customized retailer-specific selling stories and leverage all available selling materials.
  • Set product and ranging priorities throughout the store.
  • Develop pricing and promotional strategies across the Red Bull portfolio to maintain a premium position and drive value growth.
  • Drive the Space Management agenda with key customers to minimize out-of-stocks and maximize fair share index at shelf.
  • Ensure merchandising principles are executed accurately and compliantly across all key customers.
  • Provide quarterly measurement and evaluation of all major customer/channel initiatives and promotions.
  • Analyze internal and external data (Circana, Summit, Quantium) to identify market, shopper, and consumer trends, and recommend growth opportunities.
  • Leverage shopper and consumer insights to inform Off Premise Sales strategy and Category Vision.
  • Use data and insights to identify retailer growth opportunities and support shopper research initiatives.
  • Work with Trade Marketing to develop shopper-focused retail concepts that drive growth and outperform competitors.
  • Deliver engaging category presentations and workshops across internal meetings and conferences.
  • Facilitate category training across Sales and Distributor Partner teams.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in Category Management.
  • Experience with Circana/AC Nielsen/Quantium/Synergy/Summit.
  • Excellent analytical skills with an ability to conclude data.
  • You have read and understand the Privacy Statement and the Red Bull Australia Privacy Policy.
  • You are qualified to work in Australia and understand that Red Bull Australia may require you to provide evidence of this to comply with its obligations under the Migration Act 1958 (Cth).
