About the Role
ACS is seeking interns to work alongside engineers building precision robotic systems for defense applications. Interns will contribute to real projects with direct impact on national security, gaining hands-on experience in systems engineering.
Responsibilities
- Turning high-level mission requirements into clear, testable specifications.
- Defining how requirements will be proven met.
- Systems integration across mechanical, electrical, software, and controls.
- Tracing requirements across subsystems.
- Verification planning and test support.
- Designing test approaches and reviewing results.
- Engineering analysis, including modeling, simulation, or margin/budget analysis.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Coursework or project experience in requirements definition, verification planning, or systems integration.
- Comfortable with engineering analysis (modeling, simulation, or data analysis).
- A structured thinker curious about subsystem interfaces and assumptions.
