About the Role
We're looking for a Senior Engineer to join UX Foundations. You'll split your time between owning core iOS app layers — shared libraries, SDKs, security, CI/CD, and the release process — that every feature team builds on, and shipping user-facing features directly. You’ll collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and product managers to deliver high-quality mobile experiences, influence technical direction, contribute to architecture decisions, and mentor other engineers.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain the core iOS app layers - shared libraries, SDKs, and frameworks - that feature teams build on
- Own and ship user-facing features end-to-end — from design through release — alongside your foundation work
- Own and evolve CI/CD pipelines and the release process for the iOS app
- Collaborate closely with product and other cross-functional partners to define requirements and deliver solutions
- Understand and operate in our existing systems and proactively suggest improvements and new ideas based on industry best practices
- Drive incident investigations, post mortems, and retrospectives and effectively advocate for long-term improvements to systems and processes
- Influence within your team for the right engineering improvements to increase quality of our software, testing, and processes
Requirements
- Multiple years of experience in mobile software development
- Strong problem solving and debugging skills on mobile software products
- Proficiency in either iOS or Android development and some level of comfort with the other
- Eagerness to learn, grow, and take on new challenges
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills across a range of audiences
- Experience with native Android, native iOS, and cross platform mobile development approaches. Including evaluating tradeoffs
- Track record of influencing adjacent engineering teams of best practices or mobile client needs
