About the Role

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to YMCA of Southwestern Ontario policy and procedures.
  • Act as a YMCA ambassador, demonstrating YMCA core values in daily work.
  • Provide coaching, direction, and demonstrate techniques for equipment use and expected outcomes.
  • Conduct Wellness Coaching sessions and individual programs.
  • Monitor and supervise access and use of equipment in the weight room.
  • Perform routine maintenance and tidying of the Health and Wellness Centre.
  • Manage varying amounts of weight, cleaning, and moving equipment in a highly physical role.

Requirements

  • Must be available to work early mornings (6am start).
  • Current Standard First Aid/CPR Level C certification.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, & Outlook.
  • Current and acceptable Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening is a condition of employment for all staff and volunteers.

Skills

  • Personal Training Certification
  • Group Fitness Certification and experience is an asset

  • $25.00/hour (Personal Training)
