About the Role
ACS is seeking Software Engineer Interns for Summer 2026 to work alongside engineers building precision robotic systems. Interns will contribute to real-world projects with significant stakes, focusing on software that integrates sensors, computer vision, and control systems for autonomous weapon systems, real-time applications, and supporting tools.
Responsibilities
- Develop software integrating sensors, computer vision models, and control systems into an autonomous weapon system.
- Work on real-time systems where latency and reliability are critical.
- Build tools and interfaces for engineers and operators, including embedded Linux applications and internal tooling.
- Undertake full-stack or backend projects supporting engineering, manufacturing, or field operations.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Coursework or project experience in C++, Python, Kotlin, or Java.
- Curiosity about real-time, embedded, or systems-level software.
- A builder's mindset, preferring to ship and iterate over waiting for a perfect specification.
