About the Role
Zlayt AI is hiring a General Manager to build and run the commercial side of the business. You'll work directly with the founders to establish go-to-market strategy, sales, marketing, and customer success functions, designing systems, hiring the team, and owning the results. This is a builder's role focused on creating processes and structure from scratch.
Responsibilities
- Design and build Zlayt's commercial engine: go-to-market strategy, sales process, marketing, and customer success
- Work cross-functionally with product, engineering, and the founding team to translate platform capabilities into a repeatable growth motion
- Hire, structure, and lead the commercial team as it grows
- Own outcomes end-to-end — from strategy through execution — with direct accountability to the founders
- Operate with significant ambiguity in an early-stage environment, making decisions with incomplete information and adjusting quickly
Requirements
- A builder with experience shipping a 0-to-1 product, software product, or major feature
- Experience leading initiatives spanning multiple departments or functions
- Experience working in small, fast-moving companies building systems from scratch
- Demonstrated track record of personally driven work
- Roughly 6–12 years of total professional experience
- Track record of meaningful tenure at each stop, with logical job changes
