About the Role
Pagan Idol is a tropical bar in San Francisco's Financial District offering daily tiki escapes. We are seeking individuals with restaurant, bar, or hotel industry experience, or those eager to learn, for our barback position. Shifts typically fall between 3 pm and 3 am.
Responsibilities
- Assist bartenders with daily service
- Maintain overall bar cleanliness
- Prepare batches and other cocktail ingredients
- Wash and organize glassware
- Retrieve and keep adequate levels of bar stock
- Clean as part of opening and closing duties
Requirements
- Previous kitchen prep experience is required
- Previous experience as barback or barista is preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to follow directions
- Basic math skills or an ability to use a calculator and understand proportions
- Good interpersonal skills
- Has or is willing to obtain a CA Food Handler’s Certification and RBS training required
- 21+ years of age or older
- Able to work Tuesday, Friday and Saturday
