About the Role
This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while contributing to meaningful projects that support operational excellence. You’ll dive into real-world projects, gaining hands-on experience while learning how business really works from the inside.
Responsibilities
- Support Production Engineers by contributing to project execution and daily operational tasks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Purchasing, Sustaining Engineering, and Production Supervisors to advance project goals.
- Design and develop fixturing and tooling solutions to enhance production cell efficiency.
- Create and revise factory floor layouts to optimize space utilization and workflow.
- Engage directly with production cells and operators on the factory floor to observe, learn, and support operations.
- Analyze cycle times for assemblies and unit production to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
- Measure and document improvements resulting from implemented changes to validate impact and support continuous improvement efforts.
Requirements
- Current student pursuing a bachelor's degree in manufacturing/mechanical engineering.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrates a strong passion for engineering and a genuine desire to contribute meaningfully to team objectives.
- Committed to integrity, respect, and fostering a positive, inclusive work environment.
- Exhibits a strong sense of accountability, with the ability to take ownership of tasks and follow through on commitments.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements.
