About the Role
The UPS Store is seeking friendly, dependable, and motivated individuals for an entry-level Retail Returns Specialist position. This role is designed as a starting point to build customer service, package handling, and store operations skills, with opportunities for advancement into Retail Sales Associate and leadership roles.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service
- Assist customers with Amazon and other retail returns
- Scan QR codes, labels, and packages using store systems
- Follow return instructions and ensure transactions are processed accurately
- Prepare, consolidate, organize, and stage returned merchandise
- Help customers understand the return process and resolve basic questions
- Handle customer packages and merchandise carefully
- Maintain a clean and organized returns and customer-service area
- Assist team members during busy periods
- Participate in ongoing training and development
Requirements
- No previous shipping experience required
- Retail or customer service experience is a plus
- Friendly, professional, and comfortable interacting with customers
- Reliable and punctual
- Strong attention to detail
- Comfortable learning computers, scanners, tablets, and store systems
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Availability to work weekends as needed
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
- Interest in growing into additional responsibilities
