About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented, results-driven Human Resources Coordinator to provide HR support to the Corporate Functions HR team and client groups across NBCUniversal. The ideal candidate will be team-oriented and customer-focused, with a desire to play a critical role in projects and initiatives that align with business objectives. This position will manage administrative and coordination support for the team, including strategic HR initiatives, workflow forms, and SAP updates.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare job descriptions for open positions and post them via nbcunicareers.com
  • Facilitate the new hire onboarding process from end-to-end, including processing background checks
  • Process new hires in SAP and complete I-9 verifications
  • Partner with hiring managers to ensure a smooth new hire experience
  • Own and project manage roll-up reports and requests for Corporate Staff Functions
  • Process and manage HRIS transactions for employee lifecycle data changes via SAP
  • Serve as primary user for all HR systems: SAP, SmartRecruiters, Click Boarding, TimeKeeper, Sterling etc.
  • Run recurring and ad hoc reports and analyze HR metrics on attrition, performance, diversity, etc.
  • Liaise with business partners including Payroll, Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Compensation and Finance to field questions and resolve day-to-day employee issues
  • Assist with annual processes (performance review process, salary planning, benefits open enrollment, etc.)
  • Keep apprised and updated on new regulations, company policies & procedures
  • Participate in various HR projects and initiatives including training planning and implementation, succession and compensation planning
  • Respond to routine HR questions including, but not limited to benefits, payroll, vacation or redirect employees to appropriate contacts
  • Deliver high client service by offering solutions and effectively problem-solving questions or concerns raised by clients
  • Act as the primary liaison with several HR departments including Payroll and Benefits, to manage and resolve day-to-day employee issues
  • Provide assistance across the Corporate Staff Functions team on projects, initiatives, and assignments
  • Run weekly, monthly and quarterly ad hoc reports from applicable HR systems (SAP, Business Warehouse Report, etc.)
  • Create and maintain employee files and provide administrative HR support
  • Utilize Copilot and other AI-powered tools to streamline administrative processes, analyze data, draft communications, and improve overall team productivity while maintaining confidentiality and data integrity

Requirements

  • 1+ years of work experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree OR equivalent work experience
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Demonstrated ability to drive HR processes and deliver high-quality services in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-starter who takes initiative
  • Highly resourceful and organized with exceptional follow-through and attention to detail
  • Extremely flexible with the ability to easily shift priorities with a can-do attitude in a fast-paced, dynamic, ever-changing work environment
  • Demonstrates accountability, thinks critically, independently, and presents solutions
  • Highly process-oriented and detail-oriented
  • Proven track record of managing sensitive information in a mature and professional manner; able to maintain confidentiality and use discretion
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Dynamic team player with the ability to collaborate with team members, employees, and managers
  • Solid client-support orientation, and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work independently and navigate complex and uncertain environments
  • Project and process management skills, demonstrated track record of delivering results
  • Demonstrates ownership; able to establish self as a ‘go-to’ HR resource for the team and employees
  • Strong interest in a career in Human Resources and the media industry
  • Experience with HR information systems, such as SAP, Business Warehouse Reporting, etc.
  • Must be willing to work overtime when required
  • Must be willing to travel for work-related business as necessary
