About the Role
The Brooklyn Data Station at NYU Grossman School of Medicine's Department of Population Health supports finding, accessing, analyzing, visualizing, and communicating clinical and community-level data. We are seeking a qualified data analyst to provide support with data management, analysis, visualization, and communication of findings.
Responsibilities
- Support development and maintenance of Tableau dashboards
- Conduct descriptive data analysis from clinical and community-level data sources
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and community partners to develop user-driven data visualizations and reports
- Prepare and present results, reports, both oral and written, to a variety of audiences, concerning processes, results and impact
- Support efforts to monitor and track Brooklyn Data Station requests processes
- Build and engineer workflows to access and manage data from secondary data sources
- Support development of primary data collection tools through REDCap, including multi-lingual surveys, and create and manage analytic datasets and related codebooks
Requirements
- Masters degree in a relevant field (e.g., statistics, biostatistics, epidemiology, data science, health services, public health, economics, public policy)
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work or research experience
- Strong quantitative and programming skills (i.e., R, Python, SQL, SAS)
- Proficiency with data visualization tools
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, manage multiple projects, and adapt to changing priorities
- Familiarity with medical coding classification systems (ICD, CPT, LOINC, SNOMED)
- Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
