About the Role
Bartenders are professional, have high energy and exhibit excellent communication skills to serve cocktails, as well as exciting new beverages to our guests. The bartender will greet guests, learn about their preferences, answer questions, recommend menu items and prepare and serve beverages and food. They will also upsell items, create recipes, utilize proper equipment and ingredients, and handle basic cleaning duties.
Responsibilities
- Prepare all alcoholic and N/A beverages.
- Restock and maintain par levels of all beverages needed for service.
- Complete knowledge of food and beverage menu.
- Prepares and serves beverages according to Company standards.
- Use appropriate garnish and glassware.
- Oversees cleanliness and maintenance of all bar areas.
- Provides food service to the standards of the company.
- Coordinates transfers for any drinking guests that move to the dining room.
- Abides by all cash handling procedures set by management.
- Assists in all beverage inventories.
- Assists in orders and requisitions of all bar supplies to maintain proper stock.
- Communicates daily with MOD for 86d items.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to exert well-paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously.
- May be required to lift trays of food or food items weighing up to 30 lbs.
- Must have the ability to bend, squat and lift 40 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis and occasionally lift up to 75 lbs.
- Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs. occasionally.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks.
- Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
- Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment, including cutlery for garnishes.
- 2 years previous high-end restaurant or hotel experience.
- Expertise in Alcohol and cocktail making in high volume environments.
- Ability to focus on guest interaction and multitask.
- Team player and able to anticipate other's needs.
- Understands sequence of service and coursing.
- Food Handlers card up to date.
- Must have Alcohol Awareness card up to date.
