Responsibilities
- Continually switch job responsibilities while maintaining product quality and schedule.
- Lay out designs for easy implementation, re-using and streamlining previous work for cost-efficiency.
- Perform final Quality Control checks on all discipline products before they leave the building.
- Support all products in the field.
- Coordinate team members and maintain schedules.
- Interface with TDE, Electrics Designers, and Production Electricians to offer suggestions that deliver upon the designer’s intent.
- Bid, design, order, assemble, and test set electric assemblies.
- Interface with Project Management and Operations Management to establish and meet project deadlines.
- Provide ongoing support to existing electrical designs.
- Provide direction and supervision to Set electric shop personnel.
- Design control risers and schematics for permanent installations and theater applications.
- Design electrical schematics capable of in-house or outsourced fabrication.
- Travel to the field to startup and commission lighting and control packages as required.
- Bid, design, order, program, and test automation-related control systems for the permanent installation market.
- Assist in the research and implementation of new Set Electrics Products.
Requirements
- Knowledge of multiple disciplines.
- Ability to lead a team.
- Effective communication with team members and management staff.
- Ability to work in various weather and temperature conditions.
- Must have a valid Driver's License.
- CAD fluent.
Skills
- ETC line of consoles (additional console manufacturers knowledge a plus)
- Multi Universe Programming
- Working understanding of control protocols (DMX, RS232, DALLI, etc.)
- Vector Works and/or ACAD experience
- Microsoft suite of Office products
- Working understanding of light metering tools
- Pixel Tape Management
- LED Driver and Heat Management
