About the Role
Perform a variety of custodial duties in accordance with established standards, instructions, and procedures of C&W Services, including daily floor care and interior cleaning.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily floor care using various equipment such as extractors, buffers, sweepers, and scrubbers.
- Conduct daily interior cleaning, including emptying waste, removing debris, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning restrooms, washing walls, mopping, and placing mats.
- May perform exterior building and premises cleaning and basic maintenance.
- May assist with minor maintenance and repair work, including painting, fixture replacement, and landscaping.
- May perform additional duties such as gardening, inventory control, snow removal, and assisting with tenant moves.
- Promptly notify management of spills, emergencies, repair needs, and safety concerns.
- Properly and safely use and operate cleaning equipment, tools, devices, and chemical agents.
Requirements
- Prior experience in floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, or polishing is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of safe use of cleaning agents and equipment.
- Bilingual.
- Experience with environmental health facility cleaning (hospitals, clinics, biotech).
- Reliable transportation.
- Willing to work weekends (on call).
- Reliable, thorough, observant, organized, flexible, and courteous.
- Effective listener and team player.
- Understand written or verbal instructions.
- Some cleaning experience and basic mechanical knowledge is preferred.
- Practice necessary safety protocols and procedures.
- Follows through and carries out work orders.
