About the Role
The Apex Group is a leading global fund administrator. We empower employees to supercharge their skills and provide the freedom to drive industry change.
Responsibilities
- Perform and coordinate administrative duties and tasks.
- Process cash reconciliations and general ledger journal entries.
- Prepare accounting trial balance work papers and financial statements.
- Maintain confidential institutional and high-net worth investor data.
- Provide client deliverables and investor services, including client web portals.
- Develop ad hoc reports as needed.
- Ensure timely and accurate NAV calculations.
- Process investment, cash, accrual, and capital transactions for funds.
- Process direct payments for assigned funds.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and fund specifications.
- Provide guidance, expertise, and assistance to fund accountants.
- Communicate with clients to address questions or concerns.
- Assist team leader with training of new employees.
- Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
- Review fund accountants’ funds and NAVs for accuracy and appropriate documentation.
- Maintain a controlled operating environment in conjunction with company’s internal controls.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance required.
- Knowledge of Fund Administration (Private Equity and/or Hedge Fund accounting) is a plus.
- CPA/MBA/Master’s Degree is an advantage.
- Ability to work towards and meet agreed deadlines.
- Paxus, Geneva, Investran or eFront experience would be an advantage.
- Prior experience with incentive fees, waterfall distributions, allocations, financial statements and/or subsequent closes is a plus.
- Highly organized and motivated individual with acute attention to detail.
- Self-starter who volunteers for new opportunities and projects.
- Ability to manage complex accounting structures.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communications skills.
