About the Role
We are seeking dedicated Night Veterinary Nurses to join our team at London Victoria Animal Hospital. This role offers flexibility with a 7 consecutive nights on, 14 nights off rota, playing a crucial part in our hospital's 24/7 service for animal care.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring the hospital provides a 24/7 service, catering to the needs of furry friends around the clock.
- Delivering excellent veterinary care for a wide range of small animals.
- Providing routine healthcare and attending to a large number of emergencies.
- Working closely with a dedicated overnight team to deliver exceptional patient care.
- Collaborating within a small, supportive team environment.
- Providing continuous overnight care for patients.
- Performing emergency triage over the phone and face to face.
- Providing inpatient care to a high nursing standard.
Requirements
- Fully qualified Veterinary Nurse registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS).
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Adaptability and ability to handle unpredictable situations.
- Reliability and ability to deliver consistently high-quality care.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for animal welfare and commitment to compassionate care.
- Experience of emergency service and critical care and emergency surgical nursing including face to face triage.
- Experience in all aspects of nursing duties.
- Experience of working nights in a veterinary practice.
