About the Role
Every RELEX implementation is a custom-built solution for a specific customer, focusing on their unique processes, data, and goals. As a (Senior) Supply Chain Consultant, you will shape both the business processes and KPIs, as well as the system configuration. This is a highly customer-facing position.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, facilitate, and document workshops to gather and specify business requirements.
- Analyze data to identify strengths and gaps in customer planning processes.
- Design target state planning processes, roles, and KPIs.
- Guide customers towards RELEX best practices and necessary changes in their current workflows.
- Configure business rules, workflows, and reporting to meet design specifications.
- Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and performant.
- Define and report on key metrics such as forecast accuracy, availability, inventory, and cost.
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing and resolve issues identified during testing.
- Upskill customer super users to ensure proficiency and self-sufficiency post-go-live.
- Own the adoption of the solution, not just its delivery.
- Document requirements, scope, and configuration for project team, customer, and continuous services.
- Collaborate with Technical Consultants on data models, interfaces, and ERP landscapes.
- Work with Project Managers on scope, effort, and timelines.
- Challenge and develop implementation best practices across various industries.
- Share knowledge within the team through training and participation.
- Support colleagues earlier in their career journey.
- Participate in international projects and share practices between regions.
- Actively use and experiment with AI tooling in daily work.
Requirements
- Around 2+ years of relevant experience in supply chain or retail planning, demand and inventory planning, or implementing/consulting on planning software.
- Structured thinking and comfort with ambiguity.
- Ability to break down complex requirements, work with data, and provide defensible recommendations.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with stakeholders at all levels.
- Business-fluent German and English.
- Willingness to travel depending on project phase.
- Technical affinity, including SQL, scripting, or a willingness to learn.
- For Senior level: Several years of consulting or implementation experience.
- For Senior level: Demonstrable ownership of a workstream or project end-to-end.
- For Senior level: Reliable effort estimation for requirements.
- For Senior level: Experience coaching and mentoring junior colleagues.
- For Senior level: Confidence in front of senior customer stakeholders.
- For Senior level: Hands-on experience with a supply chain planning system.
- For Senior level: Experience defining and tracking KPIs or building a value case.
