About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Associate to join our New Verticals Drive Strategy & Operations team, passionate about scaling high-growth products. This team focuses on growing Last Mile Delivery and Dasher Shop & Deliver for our Drive partners, with this role specifically focused on Dasher Shop & Deliver. In this role, you will unlock accessibility to local businesses on their own terms by launching new products and services to expand both DoorDash’s and merchants’ total addressable market. You will work on growth, profitability, and merchant strategy initiatives to scale our Dasher Shop & Deliver offering across Grocery and other New Verticals categories. You will partner cross-functionally to improve product quality and operational excellence, contribute to the ideation, testing, and execution of new services and features, and support profitability efforts through data-driven recommendations, financial modelling for merchant negotiations and new-net merchant contracts, and account optimization initiatives. Reporting to the Manager of Drive Strategy & Operations, you will work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Sales, Operations, Finance, and other teams to make your vision a reality.
Responsibilities
- Develop strategy to best serve customers, thinking at a deeply strategic level about success now and 3+ years out.
- Identify opportunities and scale solutions by getting to the lowest level of detail.
- Work directly with internal and external partners to execute short- and long-term plans, serving as a cross-functional enabler and strong operator.
- Use data to root-cause problems, identify opportunities, build business cases, develop solutions, and ideate net-new initiatives.
- Develop and lead 0 to 1 opportunities, creating the roadmap for future growth vectors and determining how to invest resources to achieve desired outcomes.
- Work cross-functionally across Operations, Finance, Product, Sales, Engineering, and more to bring new products and services to merchants.
Requirements
- Extreme sense of ownership for products and business lines.
- Willingness to solve ambiguous problems and motivate teammates.
- Ability to solve problems from first principles and resist "this is how it's always been done" thinking.
- Analytical skills to use data to identify opportunities and build business cases.
- Ability to translate complex findings into concise, compelling recommendations.
- Comfortable using AI tooling such as Claude, Cursor, Gemini and/or Copilot.
- Relentless drive to win.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Act with urgency and prefer accomplishment today over tomorrow.
- Enjoy building from the ground up and excel in creating structure and process.
