About the Role
The Data Scientist will develop, implement, and automate predictive analytical models using the Company’s data assets and statistical analysis tools. This role supports data-driven decisions by mining data to identify behavior patterns, predict trends, and forecast outcomes, ultimately driving efficiency and insights. The position reports to the Director, Information Analysis and collaborates with business management on projects and exploratory requests, aligning with the Company’s Strategic Business Plan.
Responsibilities
- Analyze, document, and automate existing manual predictive models using statistical analysis and data discovery tools.
- Develop automated standard analyses, predictive and descriptive models to support consumer collection analytics.
- Utilize the data warehouse, operational systems, existing models, and syndicated data to produce data discoveries for the Executive Team.
- Provide ad hoc data mining support to business functions.
- Maintain working relationships with IS, Finance, and Operations to understand data sources for decision support.
- Maintain working relationships with peers and vendors supporting ongoing projects and delivered solutions.
- Adhere to ConServe’s Blueprint Quality Management System, Code of Conduct, and Compliance Program.
Requirements
- One year of hands-on academic and/or work experience in complex analysis and development of analytics and decision support models.
- One year required, two years preferred academic and/or work experience in R, SAS, SPSS or related software packages.
- Related work experience with SQL and data warehouse and business intelligence tools preferred.
- Related work experience in gathering requirements from business management teams for business analysis and management preferred.
- Working knowledge of application development experience within a Microsoft Office environment using SQL Server, Excel, Access, and VBA preferred.
- High aptitude for problem solving and analytical thinking.
- Highly organized, able to work independently, motivated to meet deadlines, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communications skills with the ability to communicate technical solutions to non-technical audiences.
- Must travel to the Fairport, New York office or other offices when required.
- Requires a secure internet connection to plug in ConServe equipment into a hardline Ethernet port when working remote.
- Requires a private work area in which work activities can be conducted.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or lawful Permanent Resident alien with three or more years as a permanent resident in the United States.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Government Security Clearance.
