About the Role
We are seeking a client-facing engineer to manage end-to-end rollouts, migrations, identity and access management, and security implementations across our client portfolio. This individual contributor role offers significant ownership and the opportunity to build processes in ambiguous environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead multiple concurrent projects from discovery through design, execution, validation, and client handoff
- Serve as the primary technical authority on projects, making and executing decisions
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and are well-documented
- Build client confidence by translating technical decisions into clear expectations, setting realistic timelines, and demonstrating consistent follow-through
- Lead SaaS implementations and integrations
- Manage identity and access management (SSO, MDM, directory setup)
- Oversee security tooling rollouts
- Execute domain and email migrations
- Handle AV and conference room buildouts
- Standardize cross-platform environments for Mac-first clients
- Run intake and kickoff meetings to scope work, set expectations, and build workback plans
- Execute implementations, migrations, and integrations from the ground up
- Context switch across simultaneous projects for different clients
- Troubleshoot complex issues during deployment
- Write and maintain project documentation, including design docs, implementation notes, runbooks, SOPs, and handoff materials
- Partner with project managers to align scope, timelines, and client communication
- Identify and resolve risks proactively
Requirements
- 4+ years in IT, systems, infrastructure, or SaaS environments
- Proven ability to build projects from scratch, end to end
- Hands-on experience with JAMF, Kandji, or Intune, Okta, JumpCloud, or Entra ID, Google Workspace, M365, or Slack & Zoom, SentinelOne, etc.
- Experience managing concurrent projects across different client environments
- Demonstrated discipline in writing runbooks, SOPs, and handoff docs
- Client-facing confidence, including the ability to explain tradeoffs, push back when needed, absorb feedback, and adjust course
- Experience in MSP or startup IT environments is preferred
- Experience in corporate IT environments may not translate to the required pace or structure
- Ability to build structure into every project, including intake, workback calendars, and milestone check-ins
- Proactive problem-solving approach
