About the Role
Provide exceptional customer service to help people live healthier lives by treating customers and employees fairly and ethically. Responsibilities
- Comply with local, state, and federal regulations; report illegal activity.
- Adhere to food safety, sanitation, and safety regulations and identify unsafe conditions.
- Perform ordering functions with primary and secondary wholesalers.
- Manage computerized inventory, control, and ordering of medications, devices, supplements, and supplies.
- Maintain departmental standards by keeping work stations and customer areas clean and organized.
- Prepare specified products accurately.
- Complete billing procedures to ensure optimal value for the customer and company.
- Answer phone calls, triage calls, and respond to inquiries.
- Adhere to guidelines for accepting vendor coupons, cash shortages, and shrink.
- Operate the cash register and follow cashier handling policies for all transaction types.
- Provide excellent customer service while accurately and efficiently completing reception, data entry, adjudication, and dispensing.
- Assist the pharmacist with responsibilities that do not require professional judgment.
- Comply with HIPAA regulations and company policies.
- Support company health and wellness initiatives.
- Process and put away legend orders, including Central Fill deliveries.
- Work cooperatively in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
- Manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational, and cooperative manner.
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
- Follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve issues.
- Provide support and assistance to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
- Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be 18 years old
- Ability to handle highly confidential information
- Meets minimum state requirements to perform position functions
