About the Role
Supports the origination and structuring of project finance and structured lending transactions across various industries and asset classes. The individual will be responsible for supporting senior professionals in business development and transaction execution, thriving in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and working independently with minimal guidance.
Responsibilities
- Understand project financial model inputs, including credit scenarios, sensitivities, key metrics, and summary outputs.
- Support and eventually lead project financing transactions through to closing, including credit analysis, risk/return analysis, due diligence, and coordination with third-party consultants.
- Assist in preparing credit submissions for internal and external stakeholders.
- Summarize diligence materials to develop recommendations and identify risks.
- Run internal return models and capital committee memos.
- Coordinate with credit and operations teams from origination through closing and funding.
- Consider risk, internal controls, and compliance in daily tasks and adhere to policies.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in business, finance/accounting, or economics with outstanding academic achievement.
- Financial services experience analyzing large corporate, commercial, or project finance credit risk.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Outstanding communication (written, oral, listening) and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to present complex information succinctly to internal and external audiences.
- Self-starter with the ability to learn quickly and work independently.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Desire and willingness to demonstrate accountability and proactively anticipate team needs.
- Highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Skills
- Project finance experience is an asset.
- Financial modelling experience and proficiency.
- Strong working knowledge of and ability to leverage AI to drive efficiency will be considered an asset.
