About the Role
This role offers a unique opportunity to join a high-profile humanoid robotics company focused on advanced human interaction. You will become an expert on Ameca and Mesmer humanoid robots, ensuring customer readiness, providing installation and post-installation support, and managing the in-house robot fleet for demonstrations and events.
Responsibilities
- Perform robot installations and manage robot rental engagements.
- Liaise with customers regarding venue requirements, including power and network connectivity.
- Execute final checks and packing for robot shipments, and conduct return checks and maintenance.
- Travel to customer premises or rental venues for setup and installation.
- Train customer stakeholders on safe robot usage and maintenance.
- Provide on-site support during rentals to ensure optimal robot performance.
- De-install, pack, and arrange for the safe return shipping of robots after rentals.
- Serve as the first point of contact on the digital helpdesk, addressing customer queries and issues.
- Manage helpdesk tickets, coordinate with team members for information, and organize spare parts with the production team.
- Connect to customer robots remotely to diagnose issues and provide solutions.
- Organize and ship spare parts to customers, including providing instructions for self-fixes.
- Travel to customer sites to resolve larger issues requiring on-site hardware support.
- Travel to global destinations for trade shows and exhibit at trade stands.
- Act as an EA ambassador, engaging with trade show visitors.
- Prepare booth services, set up exhibits, ensure smooth operation, and manage packing for return journeys.
- Maintain and care for the EA-owned robot fleet, ensuring they are in optimal condition for developers, customer visits, and event readiness.
Requirements
- Experience in customer-facing roles.
- Understanding of electronics and ability to diagnose issues using standard tools like multimeters and oscilloscopes.
- Experience with mechanical assembly, either professionally or as a hobby.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to travel globally without visa restrictions, particularly to Europe, USA, and UAE.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to quickly learn and assimilate new information from various sources.
- Experience exhibiting at trade shows (desirable).
- Experience supporting complex mechanical devices or machine tools (desirable).
- Computer networking knowledge and troubleshooting skills (desirable).
- Python scripting experience (desirable).
- Robotics knowledge, experience, and interest in humanoid robots (useful).
- Fluency in multiple languages (useful).
