About the Role

Zola is seeking a Director of Brand Marketing to build and amplify the Zola brand through bold campaigns. This role involves managing social media, PR partners, and leading brand initiatives from consumer insights to campaign execution, in collaboration with various internal teams. Success is defined by generating buzz and conversation around Zola.

Responsibilities

  • Concept and oversee execution of Zola’s brand marketing campaigns (B2C and B2B), using consumer insights, cultural insights, Zola data, product initiatives, and brand identity.
  • Oversee social media, leading a team in developing social strategies that bring Zola’s brand to life.
  • Lead the development and amplification of an influencer strategy across multiple social channels, building a best-in-class program.
  • Oversee a press strategy to drive media coverage and cultural relevance, connecting Zola product/marketing initiatives with press opportunities.
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure brand consistency across the customer journey.
  • Act as a key stakeholder in integrated campaign development, shaping narratives for performance and brand goals.
  • Represent the voice of the customer across the organization, advocating for storytelling, consistency, and brand strength.
  • Partner with Creative to develop and refine brand-level copy across campaigns, social, and key marketing placements.

Requirements

  • 8-10 years of brand marketing experience at consumer-facing brands or agencies (or less, with an MBA).
  • Strong fluency in social strategy and passion for staying current with social channel evolutions.
  • Proven experience managing social media and PR teams (internal or agency-side).
  • Strong strategic thinking ability to translate insights into creative brand executions.
  • Track record of managing complex cross-functional campaigns with clear ROI.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, comfortable working with executives and external partners.
  • Comfortability with a scrappy, fast-paced, hands-on approach.
  • Passion for weddings, events, or consumer lifestyle categories is a plus.
