About the Role

The Relationship Banker's primary focus is to establish and deepen client relationships by assisting them with their financial goals. This role involves actively participating in a dynamic team environment, contributing to the IMAGINE culture, and working towards individual and team goals. The position emphasizes delivering quality customer service and consultatively recommending bank products and services.

Responsibilities

  • Examine financial and personal information to understand customer needs and educate them on products and services.
  • Explain key product features and benefits to deliver appropriate solutions for customer spending, saving, borrowing, and investing needs.
  • Collaborate with business partners in Wealth, Premier, Business Banking, and Insurance to assist customers with complex financial and business needs.
  • Prioritize exceptional client service with accuracy and operational excellence, including problem-solving and complaint resolution.
  • Support the branch by achieving individual and team goals through strong client relationships and team collaboration.
  • Respond to customer service requests and inquiries in a timely manner, emphasizing accuracy and informative follow-up.
  • Ensure all activities adhere to compliance and operational standards, and assist with branch operational activities as directed.
  • Demonstrate vigilance in detecting and reporting fraudulent or irregular activities.
  • Perform teller duties when necessary.
  • Assist Client Service Associates with daily transaction and cash proof.
  • Use knowledge of Pioneer services to develop and/or refer potential customers to the appropriate business partner.
  • Travel throughout the branch network if deemed a floating position.
  • Perform other office duties as requested.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 1-year cash handling experience and customer service experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-year customer service experience, recommending and referring products and services preferred.
  • Recommended to pass the NYS exam to become a Notary Public within 90 days of accepting position.
  • Must have a friendly, professional disposition and good communication skills.
  • Excellent customer relations and communication skills.
  • Active and articulate promotion of Pioneer products and services.
  • Must be able to type accurately.
  • Must possess basic knowledge of the Bank's cash handling & security policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with colleagues in a team setting.
  • Ability to professionally represent Pioneer to outside business and/or customer contacts.
