About the Role
The Associate Trade Marketing Manager supports the Trade Marketing Manager and Divisional leadership in maximizing profitable opportunities for an assigned portfolio of businesses, aligning with corporate and Divisional strategies. This role is responsible for financial forecasting and reporting, developing and executing pricing strategies, optimizing trade spend efficiency, and managing product, promotion, and customer mix. The position acts as a liaison between Customer Strategy and Development (CS&D), Sales, Marketing, Management Control, Supply Chain, and Demand Planning departments.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with customer sales teams & CS&D to understand performance and ensure budget KPIs (volume, net sales, margin contribution) are achieved.
- Complete financial forecasting & reporting of volume and net sales to division management control and Trade Marketing Manager, including commentary on commercial performance and net sales validation.
- Collaborate with S&OP stakeholders to ensure communication and resolution of forecasting inaccuracies impacting production and supply planning.
- Perform strategic analysis of data from TPM, BW, Nielsen & Numerator to provide insights and recommendations on risks & opportunities.
- Maintain Trade Marketing reporting assets (e.g., Planogram Window Listing Trackers, KPI Dashboards, Shortage Risks, Fill Rate Reports, LE Tracking).
- Manage customer tactical trade requests & approvals (e.g., TPM approvals, promotional funding, event fees, list price changes).
- Assist Trade Marketing Manager with budget planning responsibilities, including volume building block & net sales consensus reviews.
- Work cross-functionally to reduce finished goods write-offs through fire-sale & donation processes.
Requirements
- University degree or college diploma.
- Minimum three years of experience in a sales and/or data analysis role.
- Strong analytical, planning, and communication skills (formal and informal presentation).
- Strong leadership skills and strategic thinking abilities.
- Project management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Strong technical skill set in budget planning, investment analysis, and financial reviews.
- Ability to work and adapt to a fast-paced, multi-project environment.
- Proficient with business applications such as SAP/BW, TPM, Microsoft 365 and PowerBI.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Bilingual (English and French) is an asset.
