About the Role
Cancer Research UK is seeking a passionate and well-connected Talent and Influencer Senior Manager to lead a team of 3. This role involves cross-organizational collaboration with various directorates to plan and deliver impactful campaigns. The position requires building and maintaining strong relationships with high-profile talent and influencers to support successful campaign delivery, contributing millions to the charity.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, development, and delivery of complex, high-profile talent and influencer campaigns and projects, ensuring high standards, timeliness, and achievement of objectives and KPIs.
- Line manage, coach, and develop the Talent & Influencers team, setting clear objectives and fostering a high-performing, confident, and inclusive team.
- Create engaging campaigns, projects, and propositions that highlight talent and influencers' passion for the Cancer Research UK cause.
- Demonstrate a clear 'value exchange' for talent and influencers, showcasing impactful, high-profile campaigns across multiple channels.
- Share expertise and coach the Talent & Influencers team to develop a high-performing, confident, and inclusive team.
- Maintain an overview of all talent & influencer activity, analyzing opportunities, providing expert advice, and strategic direction.
- Oversee effective planning, prioritization, and resourcing of team activities, aligning capacity with organizational priorities.
- Drive efficiency and effectiveness through leading annual planning, prioritization, and reporting processes.
- Monitor and track performance of talent & influencer activity, reporting on successes and learnings, and ensuring key deliverables and KPIs are set and measured.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders and teams across CRUK to manage competing priorities, resolve challenges, and ensure talent and influencer activity supports organizational objectives.
- Attend industry events to liaise with talent & influencer supporters, requiring flexibility for unsociable hours (weekends and evenings) with lieu time applicable.
Requirements
- Experienced campaign and people leader with strong influencing skills.
- Ability to inspire trust and confidence in internal and external stakeholders and teams.
- Ability to articulate Cancer Research UK’s cause, core purpose, and scale of ambition.
- Ability to transform complex scientific research areas into engaging, user-friendly communication.
- Strong track record of leading and delivering complex, high-profile campaigns and projects.
- Experience managing multiple priorities and stakeholders to achieve clear outcomes and measurable results.
- Proven experience in building strong relationships and working with senior contacts across the talent sector (talent, influencers, representatives).
- Experience creating and executing high-profile, strategic campaigns with cut-through and visible results across various sectors (digital, TV, film, radio, fashion, beauty, business, politics).
- Strong team player with a collaborative approach.
- Commercial awareness: ability to identify and maximize opportunities for direct and indirect financial value to the charity.
- Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong people management, leadership, and coaching skills.
- Experience developing individuals and teams to deliver high performance.
- Must be eligible to work in the UK.
- Must be able to work unsociable hours (weekends and evenings) where required (lieu time applies).
