About the Role

Humble Grape Liverpool Street is seeking a passionate Assistant Manager to support the General Manager and AGM in delivering exceptional guest experiences and smooth daily operations. This role offers a clear path for growth into senior management within a fast-paced, high-energy hospitality environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support the General Manager and AGM in delivering smooth, high-quality daily operations.
  • Take the lead on the floor during busy services.
  • Champion Humble Grape's standards across wine, food, and guest experience.
  • Coach and develop the team, setting the tone for culture, professionalism, and performance.
  • Build strong relationships with guests and create memorable experiences.
  • Gain hands-on exposure to P&L, team scheduling, stock management, and site performance.
  • Drive commercial results without compromising quality or hospitality.
  • Be a consistent, trusted presence for the team.
  • Support the GM in identifying opportunities to improve operations and grow the business.

Requirements

  • Previous supervisory or Assistant Manager experience within a quality-focused hospitality venue.
  • Natural leadership ability, leading by example and bringing out the best in people.
  • Genuine passion for hospitality, wine, and creating memorable guest experiences.
  • Ambition to progress within the business and take on greater responsibility.
  • Strong operational awareness and the ability to stay calm and decisive under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Interest in wine (WSET qualifications are a bonus, but not essential).
  • Full right to work in the UK.
