About the Role
Focus is hiring dependable and compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide 24/7 support to individuals who require full-care assistance and two-person staffing. Our DSPs play an important role in helping individuals who require extensive support live safely, comfortably, and with dignity.
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on assistance with full-care daily living needs
- Assist with bathing, dressing, toileting, meals, and personal hygiene
- Provide support with lifting, transferring, positioning, and mobility
- Follow individualized care, support, and behavioral plans
- Provide 24/7 supervision and support
- Work cooperatively with a second staff member to maintain safe and effective care
- Assist with medical appointments, errands, and community activities as appropriate
- Encourage independence and participation whenever possible
- Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment
- Complete required documentation accurately and timely
- Build positive, respectful, and supportive relationships
Requirements
- Dependable and responsible

- Comfortable providing hands-on personal care
- Able to work as part of a two-person team
- Comfortable with lifting and transferring
- Willing to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and overnight hours
- Committed to treating every individual with dignity, respect, and kindness
