About the Role

Curative is seeking an accomplished physician executive to lead clinical operations and innovation for its Management Services Organization (MSO). The MSO provides management-services oversight and operational support to affiliated professional limited liability companies (PLLCs) through which physicians and other licensed clinicians deliver care. The Vice President will set the MSO operating strategy and build the people, processes, technology, governance, and performance systems required to support and scale baseline visits, virtual and in-person primary care across multiple states. This leader will translate clinical strategy into disciplined execution while protecting clinical quality, patient safety, regulatory compliance, clinician experience, member satisfaction, financial sustainability, and appropriate separation between provider and payer functions. They can think at enterprise scale, move decisively through ambiguity, and build durable systems without losing the human experience of care.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the annual operating strategy for Curative's MSO and the management-services platform supporting affiliated provider PLLCs.
  • Translate enterprise objectives into a scalable operating model with clear decision rights, service standards, workforce plans, budgets, roadmaps, and accountable performance goals.
  • Serve as a senior physician-operational advisor to the Chief Medical Officer.
  • Establish effective governance, decision rights, and working relationships among Curative, the MSO, affiliated provider PLLCs, the payer organization, and shared-service functions.
  • Lead high-stakes cross-functional initiatives, resolve escalated operational issues, and create alignment across stakeholders.
  • Own operational performance and delivery of MSO-provided administrative and management services supporting delivery across virtual and in-person practices.
  • Design, standardize, and continuously improve operating playbooks and workflows that support safe, efficient, patient-centered care.
  • Lead operational readiness for new states, affiliated provider entities, clinics, programs, and care models.
  • Build rigorous demand and capacity forecasting, contingency planning, and resource-allocation processes.
  • Apply structured process-improvement methods to reduce variation, remove administrative burden, improve reliability, and accelerate cycle times.
  • Serve as executive sponsor for the implementation, growth, and evolution of Curative's primary care practice and the Baseline Visit program.
  • Own the enterprise capacity model for Baseline Onboarding and Baseline Clinical Check-ins.
  • Define and monitor Baseline Visit performance measures.
  • Continuously improve the Baseline experience, clinical content, risk identification, care pathways, handoffs, and longitudinal follow-through.
  • Use insights from Baseline Visits and primary care operations to identify new clinical programs and creative ways to improve prevention, engagement, outcomes, and member value.
  • Build and execute a multi-state workforce strategy spanning physicians, advanced practice clinicians, nursing, care teams, and clinical operations leaders.
  • Recruit, lead, coach operational directors, managers, and other leaders.
  • Oversee scalable, MSO-supported recruiting, selection, onboarding, licensing, credentialing, privileging, training, and performance-management processes.
  • Create an environment of excellence, accountability, psychological safety, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Address performance issues directly and fairly.
  • Partner with the Chief Medical Officer and physician leaders to operationalize quality, patient-safety, evidence-based practice, peer-review, incident-response, and improvement priorities.
  • Ensure effective MSO systems supporting professional licensure, credentialing, telehealth operations, accreditation, policies and procedures, regulatory readiness, and compliance.
  • Work closely with Legal and Compliance to maintain appropriate governance, contracting, and decision rights.
  • Maintain robust audit, risk-management, corrective-action, privacy, and information-security practices.
  • Balance speed and innovation with disciplined clinical, regulatory, ethical, and reputational risk management.
  • Own the MSO clinical-operations and management-services plan and budget.
  • Develop financial and operational forecasts, resource plans, and business cases for growth, staffing, technology, vendors, facilities, and new clinical programs.
  • Establish service-level expectations and performance accountability for MSO services.
  • Use financial and operational data to identify growth opportunities, cost efficiencies, capacity constraints, and tradeoffs.
  • Create a disciplined operating cadence for reviews, decisions, follow-through, and escalation management.
  • Define and execute a physician-led AI and digital-transformation roadmap for clinical and MSO operations.
  • Identify and prioritize high-value use cases across documentation, scheduling, triage, credentialing, quality, clinical decision support, analytics, patient communication, workforce planning, and administrative automation.
  • Establish responsible AI governance.
  • Lead adoption and change management, create feedback loops, monitor real-world performance, and stop or revise tools that do not meet clinical, operational, or ethical standards.
  • Measure and communicate the impact and return on investment of AI and technology initiatives.
  • Create a KPI and OKR framework with clear definitions, accountable owners, targets, and an executive dashboard for MSO service delivery and affiliated provider-entity performance.
  • Monitor access, Baseline completion, capacity, quality, safety, patient/member satisfaction, clinician engagement, retention, productivity, cost, compliance, and technology adoption.
  • Use advanced analytics, forecasting, benchmarking, and structured experimentation to identify root causes, test solutions, and scale what works.
  • Strengthen data quality, reporting discipline, and operational transparency.
  • Translate complex clinical, operational, and financial data into concise narratives and decisions.
  • Support market expansion and strategic partnerships through operational due diligence, implementation planning, integration, and performance stabilization.
  • Build trusted relationships with physicians, clinical partners, vendors, and other external stakeholders.
  • Partner with enterprise leaders to align MSO and provider-entity capabilities with payer, member, employer, and market needs.
  • Anticipate future operating requirements and build scalable capabilities.

Requirements

  • Medical credentials. MD or DO degree; current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in at least one U.S. state and eligibility to obtain additional licenses as needed.
  • At least 10 years of progressive healthcare leadership experience, including five or more years in a senior or executive role with direct accountability in an MSO overseeing or supporting affiliated provider entities, a multi-entity medical group, or a closely analogous physician-enterprise environment.
  • Demonstrated success scaling complex clinical operations through an MSO and affiliated provider entities, and leading through directors, Medical Directors, managers, and cross-functional teams across multiple states.
  • Experience owning budgets and operating plans and managing P&L drivers, workforce productivity, unit economics, business cases, vendors, and investment decisions.
  • Strong working knowledge of clinical quality, patient safety, credentialing, professional licensure, telehealth, healthcare compliance, risk management, MSO-provider governance, payer- provider separation, and multi-state operations.
  • A demonstrated record of selecting, implementing, governing, or scaling AI, automation, analytics, or digital-health capabilities in a healthcare environment, with measurable outcomes and appropriate safeguards.
  • Executive presence, sound judgment, high emotional intelligence, and the ability to influence C-suite, physician, board, technical, and operational stakeholders in a matrixed organization.
  • Proven ability to use data to diagnose problems, set priorities, lead enterprise change, and deliver sustained improvements in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
