About the Role
The Catering Service Worker Lead supervises and supports the planning of catering events, ensuring brand standards are met. This role is crucial for maintaining operational excellence and customer satisfaction in catering services.
Responsibilities
- Develops and maintains a safety culture, directly supervising catering operations including staff coordination, equipment management, set-up, preparation, service, and break down.
- Manages event bookings, selects and costs menu items, and determines pricing.
- Assists with hiring, discipline, and performance reviews.
- Coordinates activities with other internal departments and participates in management team meetings.
- Interfaces with vendors and key service users within the client organization.
- Facilitates external customer relations and represents Aramark and the client at meetings and events.
- Ensures sanitation, organization, and safety standards are met through checklists, supervision, and follow-up.
- Participates in and helps develop training programs for employees.
- Aids in the implementation and adherence to all Aramark OpX Catering initiatives and guidelines.
Requirements
- Minimum of two years operational experience in a hotel/banquet setting required.
- Prior experience with booking of events preferred.
- This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing.
- This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective equipment (PPE).
Experience Level
- Minimum of two years operational experience
Salary/Compensations
- $28.00 to $32.00 per hour
