About the Role
As a Babysitter for the Kids Clubhouse, you will be the friendly face that makes drop-off easy and pick-up the best part of a member's day, giving parents peace of mind while their children have fun. You will lead engaging activities, build genuine relationships with kids and families, and create a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver excellent 5-star hospitality in line with Chelsea Piers Standards of Excellence and High Five Approach.
- Create moments of genuine connection, recognition, and warmth in every interaction.
- Lead engaging, age-appropriate activities and small-group play for children ages 3 months–12 years.
- Build genuine relationships with kids and families.
- Create a safe, clean, and welcoming Kids Clubhouse environment at all times.
- Communicate warmly and clearly with parents at drop-off and pick-up.
- Handle basic care needs (diapering, snacks, comforting an upset child) with patience and confidence.
- Respond quickly and calmly to any safety or medical concern.
- Keep the space organized and toys/materials in good condition.
Requirements
- Genuinely excited to work with kids in a small-group setting – patient, playful, and attentive.
- Focused on building relationships with member families.
- Positive, can-do, and joyful, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Community-minded and an excellent communicator.
- Flexible with your schedule – availability on nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting up to 30 lbs.
- 1+ year experience caring for children ages 3 months–12 years.
- Classroom experience preferred.
- CPR + Infant CPR Certified.
