About the Role
As an Applied AI Engineer, you will have a founder-level mandate to build and ship AI-powered internal tools that make hiring, finance, and ops workflows 10x faster. You will work at the frontier of LLMs, AI agents, and emerging AI tooling, applying it to internal company processes.
Responsibilities
- Build and ship AI-powered internal tools rapidly, within days and weeks.
- Evaluate, integrate, and chain the latest AI models, APIs, and frameworks into production-ready internal solutions.
- Create compounding leverage by building tools that free up company-wide hours.
- Write clean, maintainable code that integrates with existing systems and scales reliably.
- Own end-to-end deployments, including building, testing, shipping, and monitoring for reliable operation.
Requirements
- Possess a technical background with proven building experience, regardless of formal education.
- Experience building with modern AI tooling such as LLMs, AI coding assistants, and workflow automation.
- Demonstrate startup or entrepreneurial DNA, with experience founding, building critical internal tools, or creating widely used hacked-together solutions.
- Ability to move fast, communicate clearly, and collaborate with non-technical teams to automate solutions.
- Fluency in English; German is a plus.
- Bonus: Experience with tools like Make, n8n, Retool, Supabase, or similar, with a strong emphasis on rapid learning ability.
