About the Role
Aramark UK is recruiting a Catering and Hospitality Assistant to join their team at Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability, SW15 3SW. The role involves safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, with all roles subject to safer recruitment checks.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional, friendly, and efficient service to patients, visitors, and staff.
- Respond promptly to requests and resolve minor issues effectively.
- Prepare, present, and serve food and drinks to high quality standards.
- Set up and clear dining areas, functions, and hospitality events as required.
- Process cash and card transactions accurately.
- Balance tills and maintain knowledge of menus, pricing, and promotions.
- Follow food safety procedures, temperature monitoring, stock rotation, and labelling requirements.
- Complete daily cleaning schedules and maintain clean work areas and equipment.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, company standards, uniform requirements, and mandatory training.
- Complete required documentation, including service diaries and shift records.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Prepare catering trolleys, equipment, and supplies for daily service and special events, demonstrating flexibility and initiative.
Requirements
- Friendly, positive and customer-focused approach with good communication skills.
- Able to work effectively as part of a team in a busy, fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, punctual, flexible and willing to support different catering areas.
- Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
- Willingness to learn barista skills and prepare beverages to Starbucks standards.
- Basic food hygiene/allergen/Health & Safety awareness desirable; full training provided.
- Able to follow instructions, procedures and company standards.
- Willing to complete required online training and safeguarding requirements.
